Objects and occupied spaces are where we seek comfort and find identity. They can reflect lifestyles, mental states, and personalities that are not always obvious and require closer inspection. By focusing on objects and living spaces, I create bodiless portraits that are universally relatable. Many people know of a chair they feel bonded to or a space in their life that has resembled the ones I present. I invite the viewer to witness these collective items at their most candid and vulnerable. As they exist with and around us, objects and environments take on a life of their own and become honest representations of the human experience.
